About Karen Hazarian

Karen’s love of color, fashion and home design is the inspiration behind her work as a jewelry designer, artist, and illustrator. Whether it is her delightful jewelry designed around brightly colored stones or vibrant paintings in watercolor, acrylic or oil, her style is distinctive, resonating with those who appreciate color and art in their everyday lives.

A move to the beautiful central coast of California, where she works out of a brightly lit studio next to her home-something she imagined for many years- has afforded her the ability to combine these skills, and create daily, being it art or jewelry.

Karen’s training in graphic arts and jewelry design in college has enabled her to merge these complimentary design skills. She studied graphic arts and jewelry design at California State University Fresno prior to a career in home furnishings retail while freelancing, and later teaching art in the bay area while raising her children.
